Reception types we host
You are in the right place if you need the reception, celebration, or after-ceremony gathering more than a full traditional wedding venue.
Your ceremony is at a church, courthouse, or family location, and you want a private space for the reception.
You are skipping a public ceremony or keeping it private, and the reception is the actual celebration.
Legal ceremony at the courthouse, real celebration with guests later.
You are already married, now you are gathering family and friends to celebrate.
Smaller guest count, fully intentional reception experience.
Anniversary, vow renewal, or any milestone marriage celebration with guests.
Reception-Only, Without Feeling Incomplete
A lot of couples searching for reception venues are not looking for ceremony lawns, bridal suites, arches, aisle chairs, or a full wedding estate. They already have the ceremony handled, or they are skipping the public ceremony altogether.
What they still need is the shared celebration: food, music, toasts, photos, family, friends, and a room that makes the night feel real.
That is what Reception Premiere is built around.
The Ceremony
makes it official.
The Reception
makes it shared.
A Better Middle Option
Traditional wedding venues feel like too much. Basic halls feel like too little.

How Reception Premiere Works
Reception Premiere combines the private venue with the planning pieces most reception hosts usually have to figure out alone.
Where Can We Host This?
The Private Room
A private indoor reception space inside Fashion Square Mall in Saginaw Township. Climate controlled, weather-proof, and reception-friendly for up to 165 guests depending on layout.
How Does This Become A Real Reception?
The Reception Plan
The planning piece most reception hosts have to figure out alone. Layout, timeline, guest arrival, food path, vendor coordination, and end-of-night, all clarified before event day.
How Do We Make It Ours Without Making It Chaotic?
Flexible Service Paths
Bring your own food, beverage, decor, and music, use outside vendors, or choose Chil_Space-supported options. The path is yours, the clarity is included.
How Do We Avoid Managing The Night Ourselves?
Event-Day Clarity
By event day, the room, vendors, food, layout, and end-of-night are not surprises. Add the Supported tier if you want a day-of host so family can be guests.
Guest Count Fit
Receptions feel different at every size. Slide to your guest count to see how the room and layout adjust.

Food + Beverage Options
You are not locked into one food path. Choose the option that fits your reception, guest count, budget, and support level.
Path
Bring restaurant trays, family food, dessert, snacks, or your preferred catering. Best for couples who want maximum budget control.
Path
Bring in outside caterers, bakers, dessert vendors, bartenders, or service providers as allowed.

Choose from Chil_Space food and beverage options through our menus and catering partners.
Food, beverage, alcohol, hors d'oeuvres, and bar options are separate from the venue and support package unless specifically included in a custom quote.
Included With Reception Premiere
Whichever food path you choose, the reception still has to flow. The Planning Guide keeps food, vendors, supplies, and timing organized so dinner does not turn into a scramble.

Reception Timing
Most reception-only events can work well inside a 4-6 hour event window when the flow is clear. Essentials starts with a shorter event window, Guided gives more room for dinner and flow, and Supported gives more space for setup, hosting, and a smoother close. Extra time can be added when available.
Setup, Cleanup, And Who Handles What
Because you can bring your own vendors or choose Chil_Space-supported options, responsibilities depend on your package. We clarify the path before you book and again before event day.

We recommend and prepare the room layout with you. You approve the final plan.

Exact responsibilities depend on your package and final event plan. We clarify this before booking and again before event day.
Reception Premiere is designed to make responsibilities clear before the event day. The goal is not to pretend you have nothing to do. The goal is to make sure everyone knows what they are responsible for before guests arrive.

A cheaper room can make sense if you have family ready to set up, decorate, direct vendors, manage food, answer guest questions, clean up, and figure out the flow.
But if the lower price means your family becomes the setup crew, your guests get confused, the room needs heavy decorating, and the end of the night turns into cleanup, the cheaper room may not actually be the easier choice.

Still thinking through details?
Smaller guest count
Smaller receptions don't need a giant ballroom. They need a room designed so the guest count feels intentional. The wrong layout can make 50 guests feel scattered. The right layout can make 50 guests feel like the perfect room.
No dance floor
Some receptions are dance-forward. Some are dinner-forward. Some are built around family, food, toasts, photos, and conversation. The point is not to force a version of a wedding that doesn't fit you, it's to choose the right energy for your people.
Worried it might feel awkward
The awkward version of reception-only is when guests arrive and nobody knows what the event is supposed to be. The intentional version is different. Guests know why they are there. The invitation is clear. The room is private. Food and music are ready. Someone welcomes them. There are one or two moments that give the night emotional weight.
That's the difference Reception Premiere is designed to create.
Explaining the location
It is a fair question. But for a reception, the practical details matter: parking, weather, guest access, security, loading, privacy, restrooms, and whether the room actually feels like a private event once guests arrive.
Chil_Space gives you the convenience of the mall location without making the reception feel like it's happening in the middle of the mall.

No date yet
Some couples come in with a fixed ceremony date. Others are still choosing the month, season, or weekend. Both are fine. If your date is fixed, check availability early. If your date is flexible, we can help you see which options make sense for your guest count and reception style.

FAQ
If something is missing, ask in the fit-check form. We will answer honestly.
Premium fit check · No pressure
You don't need every detail figured out. Send us your date or date range, estimated guest count, and the kind of reception you're imagining. We'll help you see whether Reception Premiere makes sense.
Or fill out the full version on the right.
P.S.
If you are still planning your reception around someone else's rules: ceremony venue requirements, family expectations, all-in-one wedding packages, you may not need any of that. The reception is the celebration itself. Reception Premiere was built for exactly that.
Double P.S.
Your date is the one thing we cannot duplicate. If your ceremony, courthouse date, family weekend, or preferred celebration date is already in mind, check it before you keep planning around it.
Triple P.S.
You do not need the whole reception figured out before reaching out. A rough guest count, rough date, and honest idea of what you want is enough to start.
